Hello Scripters, Can anyone point me in the right direction (a previous thread or solution) for a script, that allows me to export geometry (surface or solid) from Grasshopper, to Rhino which will ultimately be used to render in Keyshot. I have seen some scripts on the Keyshot forum that utilize importing an alembic format (to preserve animation sequences) but i don’t think rhino/grasshopper supports that format. @andy can say for sure.

It sounds like the geometry to be saved as FBX has to already have animation data defined for it in the originating app. So far no luck, does anyone know more about this? I’ve been searching about how to export a GH animation to an .fbx. Will it be possible in near future? 0 Comments The loop output of the current frame is your driver for everything that needs to be animated. Use a looping plugin, I recommend Anemone, as its quite simple and works really well. 0 Comments Does anyone have a clue on how i can do that, if there is this potential at all?

Please check your browser settings or contact your system administrator. In Kangaroo2, just connect a slider to the 'On' input, then right click the slider and select Animate. Export. I have not found a tool for saving the current Rhino geometry yet, the “save viewport” component (human) has the option to save “rendered” viewport as image. 0 Likes, by me_arch

Hi guys!

This video will show how it is possible to export the animation as a video formatted file. It can run a set amount of times, which will be your number of frames. For generating animated gifs you could also use the code I posted here. I haven´t done something like this, so this is my best guess. Without seeing the type of animation you’re making with the GH slider I’m guessing but you may be able to bake out geometry from various steps and then use those to create a keyframed animation in another app that supports this feature for FBX export. 0 Likes, Added by Parametric House It shows how to create an animation & export it to a Video File such as MP4. i would like to export the video of the motion that i created via kangaroo. 0 Likes, © 2020   Created by Scott Davidson.
