And so, I literally just soldered together a bunch of crap and built the first product which was called Doorbot. None of them involved this. Well, I didn't because nobody would give me a friggin' $100 million. They have a Sonos app and they use that for their music, so they play on their Sonos. The years 2015 to 2017 might have been the toughest. That credibility and awareness catapulted us. If you watch how people really do use smart devices, they are typically using the native app for those devices. I’ve done some tech companies and startups in the past, but nothing close to what we were able to build with Ring. I wish it had been one fund.

This is something that has transformed that experience into something completely different. It wasn't changing anything. The thing that drove me was if I stopped, I was going to go out of business and lose everything I had. Through that we ended up meeting the corporate development people.
