Of course, you can use WHATEVER textures you like for those clutter files, but usually we using SIMILAR TEXTURES towards the trees we have (for immersion reasons, to have similar woodfire logs from nearby trees). Skinned trees add more detail but are prone to tree popping.

Also having issues with the billboard files for some reason after generating LOD with Dyndolod some treelods become orange in the swamp near solitude ..if u walk closer and the full texture loads in they are green again …anything I can do? I can’t make them better (for example like Vurt’s Skyrim Flora Overhaul), because he’s using EXTRA MESHES for the snow (the snow is 3D, not texture like mine).

I chose “Alternative Scenario” from the previous “Flora Overhaul” step – Forests of Dibella + Bent Pines + Veydosebrom + Landscape Fixes for Grass Mods + SFO (Trees Only) and removing all but keeping ONLY the plants + Unique Flowers & Plants.

The problem is, Morgan, that very few have the same opinion. I also improved some branches, made them better (especially the “dead” trees’ branches). Favorite tree mod btw . maybe some a…holes will say you stole they work but thats not true and we all believe that and we believe on you and your team, I stopped bother myself for that issue. I saw that there aren’t any “treepineforestbranchcompsnow” textures in your folders – could they be missing? The “UHD” version is 8K-4K textures, very few are 2K (since they are for small meshes). Vanilla has 1310 tris, 3D trees has 9770! Is very old, outdated and nobody’s updating it.

But i guess that it is very hard do achieve because your trees are well-optmized already. They thought they found, that some textures of mine (in my “Clutter Collection”) looked similar with other mods. What do you mean? There are two different kinds of dynamic trees: "skinned" trees and "unskinned." Therefore, I changed almost all the barks and other I improved them. So, I simply had/have the trees’ meshes bigger/resized (exactly as the famous mod “Simply Bigger Trees” resizing the trees, so you don’t need that mod) and I made from scratch all Skyrim’s trees textures. In 3d trees each individual pine needle is modeled, which again, isn't the 'clever' way to do it and it just really wasteful in terms of polycount for very little gain. The other trees though still range from "OK" to "really, really ugly", so I'll wait to see if he decides to update those. Of course I have done snowy branches! are you thinking sir of reuploading console version ? I will try reinstalling it and regenerating it, but maybe the billboards could be made to match the colors of the tree? Obviously SIMILAR, but new.
And finally, I made from scratch again all the LODs to create accurate billboards!
All of it just looks really good imo. He has lods and more trees on the way. Hi, this is by far my favourite trees mod. That’s not me, I don’t loosing precious time for that kind of childish things. Obviously, after 3-5 months, Mathy learned a lot using 3D programs and his next models were his.
Well… should be best in performance, because is simply the VANILLA trees far far more better. Forests of Dibella is my most successful mod I ever created.

The other billboards still match well enough I dont notice, but that one is a bit jarring. Once i used this mod i couldn’t replace it !

The last bottleneck for Skyrim (SE) performance is polycount. The original 3D meshes and textures (of the 1st version) were ALL MINE, my textures, my models! So, the “lupus_branches3” is the snowy. Also for some reason, the trees' branches shake really weirdly for me, despite not having any weather or wind mod installed. I believe you installed (without knowing it, probably) mods that have also Lods and they ruined the FoD lods. This mod is awesome, all your mods is, it a shame the nexus don’t care about your creation rights, but I’m glad you continue modifying… . and with the best performance despite the giant trees. Yeah, we doing that – forgets the billboards.

Most of the trees, if not all, are not well executed, and poorly balanced in terms of realism and model complexity (trees with too many polygons and yet, not looking detailed nor realistic), and some of them look completely unnatural, like one of the dead trees, which look just like glued toothpicks (that besides looking ugly, has like 15 times more polygons than a vanilla tree, which is very unnecessary for a tree with no foliage at all), so the resulting feeling I had when I had it installed was the opposite of having "more realistic" trees. ok cool can you post guid to make 3d LOD? So, at the end of “STEP 9 – Environment-Locations…” I also downloaded and installed your “HD DirtCliffs Remaster”, but MO shows me that there are conflicting files with “Forest of Dibella”. The “Skyrim 3D Trees” was… the successor OF THIS MOD! That light purplish snow tree is my favorite of all of them, so would be great to have it matching.
